DESCRIPTION: "ARDIS Reunion 1958". Four Generations (at least) of ARDIS Folk are assembled on the beach at Lake Missaukee for the last "ARDIS Reunion" held by the William ARDIS Sept, 1958 July, Lake City, Missaukee County, Michigan USA; probably at the County Park, just northwest of town.

NOTE: I received this from my mother, Helen Maxine [ARDIS] BROOKS, and a second copy from Eloise ARBUCKLE, sister to Sadie Belle ARDIS. TECHNICAL NOTE: This black-and-white photo has been slightly enhanced, by log and SineH methods, to bring out detail. It has also been turned to grayscale to remove the effects of aging on the paper, which had turned slightly brown. Finally, it has been brightened, by Gamma correction, and contrast enhanced to make it more viewable in this medium. This version is optimized for viewing at 800x600 screen resolution. We will experiment with both "big" and "little" versions in a future update.
